I'm looking at a space cab petrol in this vehicle for a farm/wood truck etc. I am told they are very heavy on fuel.
Is it simple swap to drop the the 3 lt turbo diesel in, are engine mount locations etc in the same place.
Any help and adice would be appreciated

Re: 1999 Rodeo Help
I had a 99 dual cab V6 petrol.
Worst car on fuel I've ever owned. Scratching to get 300ks from a 60 litre tank! .........and we were in a remote part of WA at the time, paying 1.90 a litre.......
I looked into the TD conversion (this is quite a few years ago) and discovered it CAN be done, but not worth the bother. Easier to just buy a TD.
Cant remember the details of engine mounts, transmission etc, sorry.
Very reliable cars, but ridiculously expensive to run.

Cheers mate, the fuel problem seems to be the down fall, not a big deal at the moment but it could jump again over night. I'll pass it up
