Are the transfer cases on a mk different
I have a l28 and its kinda stuffed! pops out of low range
Just want to know if i scavange a t-case out of diesels???
And has anybody got a spare????

MQ & MK transfers are all the same basically, but the linkage is different between the petrol units and the diesel units....... TOTALLY DIFFERENT !! :D

You should be able to fit up your L28 linkage to a diesel without to many probs

But also be aware that mq/mk patrol diesels were offered with 2 types of transfer cases, T130A and T100L, the 100 is detached from the gearbox (connected with a small propshaft) and came with the four speed box only, the 130 came with the four speed and the five speed, it is bolted directly to the back of the gearbox, it also has a slightly lower low range its the more common of the two.

I wouldnt worry too much about the T100L ..... just as rare as rocking horse shyte !! ( and about as usefull too I might add ! )
