does that mean bad things for the EFI/blower kit for the 1.3? or just that smoking 33s with the locker in isn't advisable?? :D

No i think it has been cooked just a few to many times and NO the blower wasn't the cause.

Decided to do a transplant have got hold of a Baleno motor. Which has the same bottom end as the gti engine with a 16 valve multi point injected head. Bolts straight in too. :D :D :D :D :D

They are avaliable in 1.3, 1.6 ,1.8 and I think 2.0's .. but I know the first three are for sure ..

Chill winston it'll probably just get another g13 as it makes things a lot easier if i get pulled over.

I decided to get a GTI but as I had no loom it would have been a frightmare.
I eventually fitted the short block with my 8V reconned head.
With a Decent carb, a freeflow etc. A cam and an adjustable cam sprocket it is dialled in nicely. Normal shift point is 6500 rpm and it revs to ( off the gauge ) I have just fitted an oil cooler and a remote filter ( Falcon size ) as well as the stock filter. This gives a larger sump of oil at a better temp. So all the screaming revs are catered for.
I love it.
