ive now put the gu back to standard (was 6 inch suspension)and have found that when going over bumps(on the tar) the 5 link is hitting the chassis..
would this be easily fixed by putting coil spacers in the front..
back seems higher at the moment.

you will have to space the bumpstops as well.. what hits the chassis? the link mount on the axle?

check the adjustment on the panhard, maybe you can get the link mount to squeeze past the chassis the same way the passenger side must be doing??

I have had to fix this on a few 5 links. Take the coils out of the front and bottom it out till the link hits, measure the distance left till the bumpstop bottoms ( should be around 50mm) get some 70mm dia alloy and cut 50mm long. Drill a 10mm hole in the bottom and thread a 12mm thread into it, drill a 12mm hole into the bumpstop pad on the bottom, put the alloy on and bolt it up with a 12mm bolt. EZ :D

he's running standard height coils, there wouldn't be 50mm bumpstop clearance to put a spacer in :D , my buggy thing is on standard coils, it has 60mm clearance and it weighs nothing..
is this a calbah setup??

Then make the stop smaller, thats what all the measuring was for. :roll:

what i was getting at, is that to pack the bumpstop enough to stop it hitting, he would end up with zero bump travel.
i don't know if it is still the case, but calbah used to advertise their 5-link as only suitable for 4" lifts and up.. maybe for this reason??
