MTR's

i have enough room in the front without a drama, the axle is forward, fiberglass guards and about 6 inch of lift.
The rear is where i am also having the trouble.
I have 1 inch offset wheels, wider housing and ifs hubs so overall i am about 5 inch wider, i do believe that that is enough width but i also believe that the tyres will rub front and rear in the rear wheel wells.

i would say 12 months and we will be able to get them here, unless you bring them in yourself, althou that could be pricey. It seems that most things seem to take about a year to get here, i know the 37's took alittle longer. Lance of pirate had a set of 37's at his place for sale when i was there last year and he had already had them for about 3 months, so yeah alittle over a year there.
Considering the price of the 37 i think that there will be a good market for the larger 39.5+ mtrs, the 37's can be had for less than $400 and compared to a swamper makes for some dam good buying, once again making only a prediciment the 39-42's should be around 500-700 which is alot cheaper than the swampers of similar sizes.
What do you all think the market for the 37+ inch tyres will be like? i believe that what we drive here is completely different to that in which they have in the states, in the states they have smooth dry rock with no water or mud involved like we do here. Although looking at what was driven at the TTC this year i think that the MTR's will be a competitive tyre next year and they seem to be selling really well as nowhere here in queensland has them, well they do now but that is only becuase the shipment just came in.

just thought of something when i read that reply, they say the tyres are up around the 40inch mark, are they?
take for example your tyres, sold as a 38.5 but measure up around the 42 mark which makes for good buying in relation to over all height, i think that if goodyear can market there larger tyres in the same price range or maybe less than the mickeys there is going to be a huge market, providing there tyres are what they say they are, i know kellys, bfg and cooper over rate there tyres, eg 33.5 real height when measured is sold as a 35, where as simex, goodyear and mickey seem to have it right if not under rated, example your claws, way over 38.5

Yeh i think i read they were a little bit bigger than 40 inch, how much dont know.
The other thing to is BFG are looking at or have a 40 inch Krawler in the states. Apparently they are awesome on rocks as the compound is so soft.
Cjer runs the MTR's on his jeep and they worked really well at LCMP on the smooth rock and also on sharp wet rocks.

the 37" mtrs are in qld and are the same tyre as in the us. the tyres were designed for sand stone and dry conditions silica is added to the compound for sandstone performance! silica is what tyre company adds for wet weather grip hence these tyres will wok well on rock wet or dry and the recomded price fo a 37' is $430 each
..
35" BFG muds.....
