Sierra Fan (interior)

Post by greg »

Sadly my fan is not working at the moment. This means that i cannot defrost my windscreen, or my toes for that matter.

Here's what i have done so far:

1. spray WD40 onto the switch (incase of dirty switch)

2. checked all fuses

What else should i be doing to get it working?

Note: I haven't done any work to the car recently, so i'm guessing its just going to be muck, or loose leads or something.

Dash removal is pretty simple when the windscreen isn't on.

Steering wheel off, dash pod off, dash out... easy :)

Reverse that order for dash back on again...

Someone please provide a diagram of some sort here for the cable arrangement in the guts of the interior fan setup.

I pulled mine apart without sketching and have no idea how it goes back together :?

My fan is decorative only now

I'd imagine you just have a loose connection some where. You will need to check the connections for the fan behind the dash. Because the lever moves it puts some stress onto the switch etc so over time will work loose
