I do, still undecided on whether it was the right way to go, although its cool cause not many people have em, a bit different I guess but at the same time thats the problem cause there isnt easy access to aftermarket stuff. Some of the blank looks when asking bout suspention options etc in 4wd shops is almost humerous

also coz no one does them up we probably have the better coilys around

yeah the front is shit.

mine has the same crawl ratio, and you have gearing :D



the rear flexes nicely :D

my gearing is just confused, it thought it was 4.16, but it's really not :lol: will be fixed sometime soon hopefully, is all good :armsup:

Stumped , what do you mean by the gearing isn't really 4.16 have you tested it by turning the input 4.16 turns and not getting 1 turn at the output , or are you guys having a private joke ???

umm yeah I've got a coily and have had it for three years and have been dreaming up suspension mods since the day i bought it.

I've got custom rancho coilovers in the front and rancho tooo long travels in the rear.

if ya want photos of anything gizza yell and i'll send ya pics

This would also be a clever option because you could change over your front diff / axel (hub to hub etc) at the same time to be a widetrack sierra housing.

This means you can pick up things like air lockers* etc for the front end of the car.

* - without any modifications.

Yea but the coily axels are about 30mm wider then the wt leafys ( thats why the coilys have the ugly rims) and gain track by fitting earlier model rims, Ill just mod the front air locker I think.

yes the coily uses vitara style rims which are about 15mm more on the back spacing and the track is the same - >>>the face to face dimension must be about 30mm more then...

that's why white spokes (suraysias etc.) stick out so far on coilies

plus the front coiler diff is pinion over so the bits are unlikely to work

i hear the coily front bearings are roller bearing and not needle bearing adjustable and the splines/axle end diameters are different

good luck is all i can say

Sorry - what i meant was the internals and externals - effectively everything bar the axel housing, and control arms mounts. All steering, the 3rd member, axels, cv's and hubs widgets would be widetrack... i guess you'll get an update from pete as to if it works or not.

As per PM's with antt pointing out I think the overall axle widths is like 50mm wider on Jimny and coily, and they use vitara offset rims to make it narrower again to keep it all under the guards.

Actual measurements for wms to wms be good... ignore the rim "padding"

Hey,
I have a coily aswell!!!

Its got 2.5'' springs with choped front towers, and ranchos
in the back, it seems to flex ok, for what it is anyway,

I did also have 3'' body lift but was defected.
