I have already looked in the manual
and I know that it depends on climate (I live in hot climate)
In the service book - it is written - 10w-40,15w-40,20w-50
and I also know that I have to choose the viscousity according to the dripping condition of my engine

 It's not a hi performance engine mate I would have thought any quality brand name oil would do the job.

Hi performance or not its still best to use a good quality oil. I would never use anything other than full synthetic in any engine I own.

You could also just go to the shop where your going to buy the oil from, tell them make/model/year/motor & they'll suggest a couple. :)

I've been using some fully synthetic 5W-40 heavy duty diesel oil CH rating - some canadian brand got it for about $150 for 20L

I run it in both my lancer and my zook - changing the zooks oil and filter every 5000clicks (5500kms :D )

apparently diesel oil is the same apart from the fact it has more detergent

the really low viscosity makes the valves really noisey :?

I like using Penrite oil in both of my 4wd's, one diesel, one petrol. I change my oil at 5000 k's. If I could afford it I would like to use synthetic.
