Yes you will need a winch for your own recoveries if they are needed. And read the rules a i winch is not quite a DNF now if used. But you have little chance of winning if you do use it.

A winch is a MUST!

Even if it was a DNF, a winch is still needed to get you un stuck!! Yes we will have a recovery team but they will only assist when a winch cannot get the job quickly!

This is and will be the HARDEST EVER comp in australia!!!

Winches are required in most other events that are no where near as hard as this!

RULES

Post by ISUZUROVER »

So if a vehicle times out on a course it also gets 40 points? That is not clearly specified in the rules.

And no Ethylene Glycol is allowed at all? - don't most cooling fluids contain it??

Just a quick question,In the winching rules you state the penalty with 2 different figures,One says thirty points and the other says 35 points.
Could you confirm which one is correct..

Thanks mate

Changed it to 30 points. I think this is the correct number.

Yep - timing out recieves 40 points. I just changed the rules to state this.

Water as a cooling fluid doesent have ethylene glycol - Ethylene Glycol is not allowed for enviromental reasons.

One other thing!

PUOSU is basically the ultimate in SHORT STAGE events!

Where many other comps have 1 or 2 stages a day with 10 or so gates, PUOSU will have at least 3-5 stages a day. These stages can consist of anywhere from 2 Gates- 5 gates depending on the stage layout!

Competitors will have more seat time, and heaps more fun!

Spectators will not have to sit there and watch a rig scratch around for 20 minutes or so.

Yes Both yourself and Overkill will recive entry forms, rules, posters and spectator information handouts!

You will both recieve these in the next couple of days!

Thanks for the support!
