So what "mud tyre" have you found in 27"????

The smallest "serious" off road tyre I could find was a 235/75R15, which is 29".

Putting your diffs an inch closer to the ground is gonna make quite a difference - I'd go the "sell them both" option.

Me and Scott (83lux) saw some mad JT2's around that size. But yeh, even just 31s would be better.

having extra tread is fine but if you are losing clearance by having them then is it really worthwhile. No point having traction if you keep on bottoming out.

Sell/trade in both lots and get some decent bigger tyres :D

havnt even seen the newer tyres yet, they may be similar size. I getting them as a favour cause I need tyres with tread. to sell them on and take the profits woulnt be right when the person giving them could just as easily do that.

Hey Big Steve do you know what size tyres coilly Paul had before he got 31's? maybe they are the same size.

I believe he had the Firestone or silverstone SAT's which are like a 31, Grimbo would know for sure as they were his I believe also.

If money is the problem there are cheap imports in 31's meeting DOT regulations for around $100 ea. I haven't used them but upon inspection it's an all terrain pattern similar to the Pirelli scorpion and not a recap. For that type of money why would you waste your time on anything smaller?

Bigger tyres less rolling resistance more ground clearance!
