ours is not to ask why, but to do or die!
I have this shiat stuck on the side of my 4runner. I just gave since I am doing the body swap.
Its hard work getting it off. I tried Perpsol and Acetone. Both work well but alot of hard work. I did one large patch with a heat gun, was alot better and quicker, have to be carefull not to take the paint off as well.

Dude , I am a signwriter & have to remove that crap everyday.
The BEST thing to use is TURPS. Get a rag give it a good soaking keeping it wet, leave for a few minutes then come back when it has gone soft & rub it off.
You will probably have to do it a few times, The longer the sticker has been on there the harder it sticks ( & harder to get off )
Hope that helps

At work (panelshop) we just use the hot air gun and the prepsol . use it the same astoymad said with the turps soak the rag and put it over the glue for a couple of minutes and scrap off with a plastic scraper or your finger nails and with the rag itself.

I did this.... works a treat..
Works much better than turps ! and much faster at it
Me too.....
Also I prefer to use the wifes hair dryier than the heat gun - less chance or burning the paint as it temp is a bit lower......

There is a special tool you can buy to do this that attaches into your drill and removes the decals and the sticky crap in one go. Have done half my car but need to get another one of these tools to finish as it was carts' and he had done his whole 60 already.
Only thing is good luck finding the tool, its rare none of the auto shops stock it dont even know where Carter got it from

yes it took off all his decals and a good amount of clearcoat and took the paint right back to primer in some spots.
the heat gun and the chemicals mentioned so far are better, but I wouldn't use acetone, it will strip some car paints. eucaluptus oil and wd40 are the winners.
Free air locker to the first 20 callers!
