I like to encourage people with English as their second language. I feel it is important for their practise if others encourage them to use an, obviously, very hard language to learn, is as many ways as possible

If you're talkin' bout joes lwb coily, it is oh so balanced and it will have coil retainers with a fully built tray on the back to keep it down. About the front end 'not' working, there's no weight in the arse end to even let it think about beginning to work just yet!!
The front coils have craploads a flex left in 'em and once they have some weight to make them flex it will turn your question mark into an exclamation mark just after you go "yeah baby"!! hehe

how will weight in the rear make the front flex better?
get some pics of it reversed up the ramp it should flex the front then
I dunno, but our LWB's seem to flex better in the front with less weight in the back. Maybe it is built for reversing up tracks.
Can't see the front getting much heavier - seems to have an engine in it. Perhaps some softer front springs and limiting straps in the rear end to stop the coil unloading might be the go.
Sure has got more front end travel than a SPUA though.

At the end of the day fella's, we can all speculate what may or may not be the case, how 'bout waiting till it's done and 'the evidence will speak for itself' P.s. Steve, the coils retainers are being fitted next week and I think the direction of the tyres indicates which way it's intended to be driven

Um, that's what I've observed from a few different vehicles with similar set ups... It may not always be the case though
Will do, I think moose may have some more taken with his digi camera, however, I should have some hopefully in a week or two when it's been developed a bit more.

Oh-So-Balanced?
I think you might have posted the wrong photo's.
Ramps are an excellent way of checking balance. The car should be at approximately half the side angle of the front axle with a front wheel up a ramp. Safari-Gard (US) have managed this by not altering the stock roll stiffness of the rear end defender, but massively reducing the front roll stiffness. these cars will do up to 56% of their total travel with the front end on a 30 degree ramp.
I would suggest that the yellow car has closer to a 95/5% balance, which I think will feel a little spooky offroad. By limiting the rear wheel travel to the point before where the rear coils drop out, this might feel better, but I think that there might be some revision to spring rates before this car is complete.
Adding weight to the car at any point behind the front axle will do very little to fix this, as when the car is climbing this weight transfers rearwards and will make the problem worse. (As evidenced by the second ramping photo.) Quite a few members of the club have moved the fuel tank forward of the rear axle to help load the front up more and prevent this problem- the more weight behind the rear axle, the worse this will be.
Grover has very nice balance though and is a credit to the workshop.

That's very knowledgable of ya Steve, perhaps you're right in what you say, however, I think joe wouldn't build his own car as a representation of the business if it wasn't going to work properly. Added to that, I'm sure he has a few more tricks up his sleeve before the 'yellow thing mk.3' is finished
Not try'n to argue technicalities, 'cause I know I'm gonna loose that one with you stevie, I'll post some more info and pics as they come to hand.
Oh, Grover's not too far away from mr. engineer giving it the tick of aprooval either, it's a spunky peice o' machinery!

Y bag something that is still in development & build ???

Big steve , it does look vunerable , it,s in the same spot as MK2 , & he never damaged it on that !!!
If you line up the obsticle(sp?) with the tyre , it should be sweet !!!
LJ , it is gunna be legal & registered !!!

Be cool moose - The photo's were not presented as "in the build"... the front travel is not sorted it has the wrong springs in it etcetcetc
They were talking up the travel... and claiming it was "oh so balanced" On the basis of the photos, this is not the case.
I'm sure that Joe will get it sorted, Look forward to seeing it in the bush.

Settle kids!
Geez, a slight detail on how I saved a picture file amd you boys fly off the handle... Anyone can see it's still in developmental stages, no headlights, no tray, no paint, no doors
It's gone way off track, I was jsut showin' you guys a few more shot's of joes truck for interests sake. There's been a big misunderstanding that they were of something close to completion when in fact it's not the case.
As for the LJ, well, you're gonna lose that one with anyone that knows joe or kenny steve. Moose is right, is it registered? If it is, I should get my dune buggy out of the garage and trundle it down to vic roads

um here
and in the photot there is no front flex. That is all people were saying. We shall wait until we see the final outcome before it becomes praise or criticism. I'm hoping it all goes well and puts 4Play out there as the Suzuki specialist. Keep up the good work Joe
