1.6 Big Bore
1.6 Big Bore
Anyone know anything good or bad about the 1750cc big bore conversion for the 1.6 16v?

Look at the topic 'BIG BORE' 78mm pistons instead of 75mm. I think they are from the Ford TX3 Turbo ( high silica content ). So it's a little more than 1700cc but is supposed to give a nice increase in torque along with hi-flow air filter and exhaust. Everything else can stay stock. Also used on 1.3 GTi"s for the 1.5 conversion.

1600 big bore...
Hmmm... I might have to hang onto my 1600 blocks and start building some funky engines...
