thats  ruff, i'll take that as a no then, cause the xrcc spot was more like a 10min drive.

so will spectators have to walk to the spot from the campgrounds?

Only if they want too!

There is plenty of room to park!

The other weekend there was a family camping that walked down to Saturdys stage and i asked them how long it took and they said it would be no more than 5 minutes, sundays stages are even CLOSER!!!

There is now Toilets located at the Comp sites and a Food van will be there both days!!!

This may be a stupid question...

Are the specator's areas of the park suitable for 2WD vehicles?

I'm keen to get along, but buggered if I'm spending 10 hours in a soft-top Vitara over the Range.

It is 2WD access to the camp sites and also to the comp sites!

However the roads are dirt and with a large number of vehicles traveling over it it does become quite bumpy.

What i am trying to say is that yes a 2WD would be fine but i would not be taking a lowered SS commodore or merc in!

There is a little info on this subject further back (i think)

Thanks POS...

Will be bringing the Forester so technically not 2WD anyway.

Has anyone started a thread yet getting together a road trip contingent from Sydney? This thread's become a bit cumbersome to find info in!

Just checking that there wasn't something similar buried in the previous 8 pages. I figure those of us down south need a little more time to organise

So far confirmed we have!

Nah, it's just the back. Not really hydro suspension - rather hydro assisted suspension. As it hasn't been hooked up, I don't know how it will react. Time will tell.

So just to recap, it'll be all hi-tech hydro/coil trangulated 4link rear with old skool sprung over leaves in the front
