Juice box build up
Well guys you will remember I started another thread about my car, but it was full of chit chat so this is a new beginning.
Plans are:
RUF (ome med springs)
N76 ome shocks on costom mounts
extended shackles (50x25x3mm C section)
2" BL
rock hoppers (either 6.1 BB or 6.5 calmini)
33x12.5x15 mtr's because I have them already but may change depending if something comes up on the cheap.
15x8 cut and fliped
Will keep you updated

I'll catch a pic asap but at the moment it hasn't really changed sense the last photo's.
I've taken the rock sliders off to modify to suit the BL.
Made the BL blocks with 50x50 shs with crush tube welded inside.

I would like to think about a month to get all the gear from supplies then another to install.
Does anyone know if I use 8 inch rims offset the max from speedy wheels will I touch the springs on full lock?

On stumpeds rig i think he just can. 31's and big offset speedy desert rat rims. It can be adjusted (lock stop) to stop the tyres hitting, but you will loose slight bit of turning circle, depends what ya want more.

I *heard* that lengthening the bolts thus increasing your turning radius means you may keep your birfields together longer as it can not exert force right on the thinnest section.
Sounds just what you need to do if you go big tyres, better engine & gearing, lockers etc.
I prefer not to tempt fate and have installed birfield rings as well.

I used the 15X7 speedy rims modified for about 2.5 inch back spacing and they still touch the springs (my tyres are a bit taller than a 33 Mtr though.

Or reverse the rim centre.

i've heard that going big offset puts a lot more pressure onto the wheel bearings..???
The trick is to offset them so the tyres are just off the springs, going for "as much offset as possible" is only going to crap out bearings and make it harder to steer.
Mine stick right out but are only 2.5 inner 4.5 outer (1 inch from centred)

bigger offset gives a bit more track tho, making it more stable... i can really notice the difference in mine, comparing -28 to standard offset. that's not huge offset tho, not 'as much as possible'
do spacers act identically, ie putting wear onto the bearings? or are they different somehow?

Spacers are same on wheel bearings, cause they push the load centre of the wheel from the point between the two wheel bearings to outside that, loading the outer bearing more the outer being the smaller bearing too. I hope this makes sense, as i know what i saying, but the keys are not making sense sorry fellas.

Todays update:
Just been shopping, ordered the shocks and springs ($130 per shock, $195 per spring) should arrive by this friday. Ordered the rims 15x8 with f100 offset, once I have the rim I will decide if they need reversing.
Bought the bolts for the new shakles. Got hitensile with nylock nuts cost $18 for eight.
So far things are looking good for the time frame that I have set!

FYI my 32X11.5 MTR's were on the ROH f100 15X8's and touched the springs so i'd say you'll get some rubbage.
