WIll be interested in where they place your compressor Ian. I pulled the compressor out of my old car and was just going to give it to them to install along with the locker, but seeing as I have just bought a winch and bar I'll be putting the locker off for a little while.

So will just mount the compressor for now.

I asked them to put the compressor in the bay on the drivers side near the airbox. its either there or on the other side near the battery..

should be finished today, cant wait!!!!!!!

Yeh - my locker is nearly in - the ARB bloke is battling with it now!!!!

Installing it gave rise to a question..., the Auto diff disconnect in the Pajeros only disconnects one axle which means that when you're hooning along in 2WD your front diff planetry gears are doing a zillion revs - the mechanic and I can't figure out how the diff hangs together.

Its the same as having a 'cruiser with one free wheeling hub in and one out - which in the Toyota usually results in the diff sh*tting itself

the mitsi diff must be a ripper to hang together under these conditions

I hope that ARB considered this when designing the locker!!!

also whats the point of the ADD system? it only stops the fron prop shaft from spinning in 2WD???

Ado, mine is IN,.

anyway I did think about the problem you raised. what happens if you try to engage the locker whislt the vehicle is only in 2Wd??

that could be overcome IMO by powering the ARB locker relay from an active off the dash lights in the speedo console, ie the locker would only work if the vehcile is in 4wd.

problem though when the dash lights flash (as they often do) that would mean it would be switching the ARB relay on & off until the lights stop flashing>

I really dont know about this one , maybe Frank can help

cheers
