5.29 Gears in my Foe Dee axle?

I was gonna buy 4.88's, but figured i might as well buy the 5.29's

Do they fit in my stock cruiser axles? Or should i stick with buying the 4.88's.

Was out at Menai with Craig in a 45 series with 6.1s.

His 2nd low was about the same as my 1st low 8)

I think he said something like 80 - 90 kmph top speed (with a 5 speed)

that 40 series i posted a pic of from the long weekend has them. Runs 40 inch boggers and it crawls really well.

Bj will say they are weak blah blah blah, but there are few other guys in the club that run them all with 38 inch plus tyres and i dont know of any that have broken.

I cant comment on the 6.1's but the 5 to 1 stout has a much much smaller pinion than the 411:1 cruiser diff.

as far as i know, they dont!

I would guess i have removed maybe 30 of these diffs from stouts the early ones not the hilux style and unless they had been converted to cruiser 4.1 gears which was common the only other gears i have ever seen were 6.1s.
These were mostly local Brisbane milko trucks. The dark green ones for those who remember.

Well there is a 4wd shop in West Hedleberg that had 2 sets of them out of a stout in 5 to 1, been there since before 4.88 was avaiable, but he never fitted them and went 4.88 eventually.

The pinion on these is aprox 1/3 smaller dia than a cruiser 411 set.

BRAND NEW non-genuine, Italian, gears, the pinion strength being the same with fine spline cut!

$500 an end, thats brand new, and r&P only! i could land them there for that price!
