Hey crew,
I got a 95 model zook with a roo bar and need to know where u all put ur recovery hooks for the zooks
One 4x4 place said it can only be done by fabricating
Another said to put them low on the roo bar near the chassis
what about the rear?
I have a tow ball, which kinda takes up the section that i would of normally considered

how did I do that? 
For the rear you can use the hitch as a recovery point but don't use the tow ball itself. if it is a hayman Reece style one slide the tow bar out of the receiver and put your strap into the hole and use the pin to secure it. Or if it is a solid tow bar remove the towball and use the hole to attach your strap to with a rated shackle.
In the front attach a tow hook with appropriate grade bolts directly to your chassis.

The front I fabricated and welded a hook mount for as the standard one broke after towing out a patrol....
I reinforced the factory one on the other side as well, just in case I need both for a recovery due to angle.
The back I used the mounting points for the Towbar and bolted a bit of 6mm angle iron to, on which the hool is located.
If you can bend that well you're putting way too much strain on a little zook chassis anyway.

This how I done the rear for a 85 SJ 413, three hooks all mounted off the two bar. Where the tow ball is theres a bushe to size it down to the correct bolt size for the hook.
