Tried this today it didn't do anything.moved one way changed 2kph,the other way it sat at 20 kph parked. i think it is a zero adjuster not for calibrating speed.check your speed with a car with an accurate speedo or get a corection box made up.

ive just calibrated my speedo for 31tyres. Its not perfect but very close. I have done this by adjusting the two tabs and by phisically turning the spring on the center pin. i set it to the rpm's at 60km/h in 3rd gear. (about 3000rpm with 31's in 90 wt sierra) doubt if it can be done with 33 coz i almost run out of adjustment.
in the pic in the link you can see another round hole in the plastic and there is another metal adjuster.

best thing to do is get another dash and have a play. thats what i did and now my odometer is on 000057km :P :P

What about alternate plastic gears on the end of the speedo cable??
This is how the Jeep guys do it... aparently the gear is only a few bucks..

Simple, disconnect the speedo and use your GPS.

Or draw lines on the cluster for different speeds, agricultural but it works
