Standard Upper and Lower axle LINK mount point separation

Post by A1 »

As Topic sugests im chassin the standard measurement of separation between the upper and lower link mountin points on a GQ (REAR obviuosly).....

So between centres ;)

Im still havin issues with axle wrap since goin 4 link and i now have 225mm separation which would have to be damn close to standard separation but im curious to actually see wat figure it is ......as u can tell i didnt write this down nor even check wen i begun the mods :?

cheers

Fuk yeah your a champion BIGRED those measurements would have to be very close to the same on a GQ axle ...........identical u would xpect .................

so separation wise there is very little difference 11mm ...........but maybe its the posi of my lower link centre on the axle as its prob bout 5-10 mm off centre maybe its allowin a slight bit of rotation .....as you can feel the shock load wen you stab the throttle on then off say when coastin at 60 kays ( and its a only a NA diesel so it aint no POWER house ;) )

I only have bout 85mm or so at the chassis end but this shouldnt be a casue of drama if i still have a resonable amount of separation on the axle end ??

cheers BIG RED
