run an 044 bosch with an SX regulator and convert your fuel rail into a return type - gettin rid of the inbuilt regulator on the fuel rail and running a line between the two rails at the front rather than the centre and run the return off the other rail to the tank.

can't i just run the return from the front, remove the std reg add a sx reg and bosh pump, and leave the rest std.just have enough to do, or is it really necessary. been flat out so thats why i am only looking at this now.

bru,

the issue with running a custom fuel rail - which is basically your own fuel rail cut off in the middle and run in a U loop like the VN-VT commodore engines which prevent the fuel from gettin hot before being burnt.

Shoot me your email to tjhooper @ bigpond.com and we'll have a chat via there I have a few pics that i can show you of that setup and it may be of some assistance to you mate.
