Hey guys.
I have been doing some research on the gen1 transfer cases, and I have been looking for a PTO. I got my auto case all set up for a PTO, but I just can't find one. Do you guys know of any in the junkyards? where to buy one new?
Any information at all is appreciated. Anyone elese have a PTO on an automatic transmission truck?

Well I've only seen a handfull of factory PTO's they were all on the 2.3 turbo diesel and were all 5 sp manuals.
We never got the 4sp auto with a Gen 1 (only with the V6).
The 4 cylinder has a t/case reduction of 1.944:1 so you will have to find the gearing to suit that idler gear. Also the auto selector cable runs over the idler gear cover plate where the PTO will bolt up to so you will have to modify that.
These PTO units are extremely rare over here (much rarer than 5.29's) and are now very old so to find one complete at a junkyard would be just about impossible.
Sorry...............
Maybe post on the wanted section on the Pajero Club forum.
