Replaced mine for the same reason about 2 months ago.
Wasn't leaking that much but enough to strip some paint on the firewall  by the time I noticed it.
There's not a great deal to the inside of the master cylinder.
Rubber kit is around $10.
Stripped mine with the intention to do the rubber thing first but was worse than I thought once I opened it up.
Got prices for a new cylinder that had varied up to $100.
PBR sell the same cylinder as Nissan does genuine except for some tell tale grinding marks that have removed the Nabco ( I think) manufacturer name.

No the price range varied by about $100.
Paid about (from memory) $109.
The average speed shops were around the $140 mark.
Repco were about $170 I think and Nissan......get a loan.
Make sure whoever you get it from its the right one to suit your car.
The bore diameter is different between the petrol and diesel models.

When I got around to fixing mine. I got a rebuild kit from Nissan $45 and had it re-sleeved. It has been working well since I fixed it. And very easy job to fix.

I new I forgot something. Was busy at work today.
Anyway, it cost me $50 from the local Brake and Clutch shop. I just took them the whole master cyclinder. They pulled it apart and then put it back together. I had previouslly tried to get away with just the piston kit. But the cyclinder had a scratch and it still leaked.

The piston kit from nissan came with. Piston, spring, rubbers and new c clip.
