ok so i'm a 3d modeler, i don't think any one elce on here is but if there was a 100% acurate model of a zook of any sort that mods could be trialed on with no cost and a much better idear of what could go wrong before things were done. who would be interested?

i'm assuming we'd need 3d software to take advantage of this? not sure how many ppl would be doin that. if nothin else, it'd be cool to have access to. would u be wanting to sell it, or what?

well the software is a free trial, as for selling it nah it'll just take ages to get up and running, the whole thing would need a few people working on it.

i'm open to comsions though :lol: .

mabey some of the people on pirate do 3d modeling... does any one know?

Matt I reckon it's a top idea but a HUGE undertaking :? Also variations of nt, wt, lwb, swb, ute would make it a nightmare :D

If you had access to a laser scanner of the modelling/ terrestrial variety and a rotisserie it would be a lot easier :lol:

yeah a laser scaner would be nice, as for the variations they would'nt be that hard but it is a huge undertaking thats why it would need more people modeling.

This might sound out there but how about terrestrial photogrammetry :?: Could expediate the process and is plenty accurate for these purposes AFAIK

i'm not 100%sure what that is but if it's using a photo to make a model from then i'm afaid thats not enough because of unseen detail.

ok thats cool

the edge use solid works like this guy did to do there buggies but i use rhino3d because it's better for car boddys and things

rhino's a sweet little program. i used it to help design a boat for major project some years ago. The modeling for surfaces is great but i don't know how'd you go for stuff such as weight placement and other dymanics. but i you could use it for stuff like tire clearance really easily.

it's realy usefull for designing bits for fourbys like cages and such
