Post by majti »

I have 1991 Patrol LWB 2.8TD (EU made). Which diffs do I have and where can I check the ratio?

There should be a compliancie plate or something similar under the bonnet, Pop riveted to the fire wall. On there, there is a trans axle code. where it says 'HG46???'. The important bit is the 46. thismeans it is a 4.6ratio. Which is the norm for AU 2.8td's.

too much of a hassle.

one engine mount doesnt line up, so a plate was made to suit.

Gearbox had one inch spacers in it to raise it

Diff flanges had to be changed around.

Wiring had to be redone
