opening spring clamps

Post by bumpy »

Hey Guys,

I want to open up the clamps of my leaf springs on my 40....

I have a full spring pack at the mo..

On the rear: can the clamps on both sides of the centre bolt be opened without introducing axel wrap. the leafs are quite stiff... but I have a 351...

On the front: will opening up the clamps effect the cars steering...

Thanks....I did try a search but it was taking too long to get thru all the hits... :)
