Get In Now - Only 4 x 2.85 Gears Left !
Well speaking to Mark today and he only has 2 x auto sets left plus 2 x 5sp sets left.
This was out of the initial batch of 25 sets.
So get in while you can before they go it will be at least 6 months before we do another run of these. Email or PM me if interested.
BTW the drawings have been completed for the 3.15 gears (3.5 V6 & 2.8TDI) as Mark is now back from Japan he just has to check them and we can start work on a batch.

I just luv my "clacker Jabber"
No 3.15 for the 3.0L. As I understand, the 3.0l tcase is a little smaller. When they R&D'd things, they kept an eye out for "how much is too much" with regards to not having enough material left to handle the forces involved. The outcomes were 2.85 and 3.15. Frank can tell more...

Yep 2.85 for the 2.6 & 3.0 V6 t/cases and 3.15 for the 3.5 V6 & 2.8TDI t/cases.
The later model 3.5 V6 & 2.8TDI t/cases are larger and have much bigger gears = more room to play.
With the design of these gear modules the limiting factor is the input gear as to how much meat can be shaved off (this gear is actually reduced in size) as to what ratio is achievable whilst maintaining strength.

On a related note, does the 2.85 for MTs fit all MTs non-3.5? In other words will the set I got for my 2.6L Gen I fit into my 3.0L Gen II, again, both MTs. Reason I ask is I may have to part with one of them. And if I kept the Gen II, I would want to keep the gears. Besides, the likelihood of getting my money back on them in the resale of the SWB is unlikely.
Thx,
