A quick question for you Chev gurus.
I'm removing the mech fuel pump from my 229 V6 (to run an electric pump), but, there is a slug/pin/dowel thingy that runs up against the cam and operates the fuel pump. Will removing this slug... have any effect on the cam or timing gear oiling or cause any other problems, or should I just leave it in and let it rest up against the back of the fuel pump block off plate?
Paul.
