Electronic Ignition Question
What causes pitting to the rotor and cap terminals in electronic ignition systems. On a std ignition it is a dead condensor but where is is on an electronic system - I didn't think they had a condenser.

I thought (and read somewhere) that pitting was caused by spikes in the power that are smoothed out by a properly working condensor.
It could possibly be condensation, but I haven't heard of this as a cause before.

The condensor, simply put, stops the spark arc in the points at the times that the points are just about to close or open.
