they measure 44 inches tall and 14 inches across the tread, measured off the rim.

For a comparison i measured a mates brand new 44 swamper (off the rim) it measured 42 inches tall and 15 wide across the tread.

i am going to get the rim shells this week so i can make up centres and beadlocks next.

Still machining suspension bits at the moment too.

I will have to wait and see how good they are. I think they should work well after i give them a trim up with the grooving gun. With the 20 inch rim you still keep your ground clearance when aired right down, so that is one definate plus i see.

I dont think they are used by that many people in the US, only the bigger 53's or 48's are worth having if you were in the US. WHat is a 44 worth over there? Nothing!

The main reason i went with these is it the cheapest way to get big tyres. No way i will pay $1300 a tyre or whatever the asking price is for a 44. :roll:

just finished grooving the first tyre.

I cut the tread a bit deeper and split every lug in half.

I also cut light, wide grooves into the sidewalls.

I feel sick from the stinking burning rubber!!

i was waiting for someone to pick up that!! :lol: :lol:

It has a vulcanized patch on it, i wasnt sure if i should cut it or not. There was another lug with a little patch the same on it and it was ok after cutting it. I had already changed the blade to cut the sidewalls when i remembered to go back to it. I have another 3 to do so i will do it then.
