how to spend $2500 on disco?

bought a disco a while ago now and gave it to the missus to drive since i sold my rangie. anyway i missed my rangie so much that i went to the bank and got a loan so i could get another on , i found one a 77 2dr for $2250 any way cut a long story short things didnt go as planed. so i decided to spend it on the disco instead not go extreme {not that u could with that money}but just toughen her up a bit

any suggestions

all i was going to do was fix up the rattles , new tyres, and strengthen her up a bit

but a diff lock sounds GOOOOOD but it would have to be maxi drive

For $2500 you can get a half-decent old Rangie and belt the crap out of it :armsup:

At least your Disco would be an everyday driver and you wouldn't have to worry about breaking anyhting (limp the Rangie home and drive the Disco to work). Still use the Disco, but on the more tame trips uif that's you thing and go play hard in the Rangie.

Just a thought on the subject. I do have to agree, maxi-drive is the way to go. Got one, now want another :D

You implying that Defenders are better that Rangies :finger:

All Land Rovers are real fourbys (bar the current crop with 'soft rooster' independant suspesnion :bad-words:), each variant have diffrent applications.

I am a Rangie man. Had a Disco and hated it until I traded it in, whilts a good vehicle it's just hasn't got that Rangie 'feel'.

I agree with these guys, lift, lock and decent tyres will get you most places.

IMO, better tyres should always come before a locker. There is no point having power to all wheels if they still cant get traction.

I think it depends on where you live (or what terrain you drive). I didn't think there would be a lot of mud at Tweed Heads.

Discos are full time 4wd aren't they :?: welded diffs would be even more fun :?
