Anyone got a Big Block in a cruiser ?

Post by HEY CHARGER »

I want to put a 454 in my 60 series cause i can get one for the same price as 350 so im wondering why not ?
My question is what are some of the pros and cons of doing this and how much mucking around will it be to get it in regarding engine bay size ?
Cheers !

I've seen an 80 series with a 400ci chev in it, with
the standard auto (had it beefed up). Shit it went hard

a mates got a 454 with twin gas research carbs in a 75 tray running 35s. its wicked. std 5 spd. he used to have a 383 in it but dropped the 454 in while hes rebuilding it. i asked him what he thought was better and he recons his small blocks better. so hes gonna go a 383 straight petrol.

60s have a wider chassis than a 75, so it should go in easy enough.

i still prefer small blocks.

400 is a small block.

383FJ45 , why do you reckon the small block is much better ???
is it the weight or power delivery ??
