Hi My 1st Post.
With out the debate over how good the result will be, I've read the other stuff. I've been told the 1UZ-fe will bolt upto late 80series Belhousing.
Any info would be appreciated

Dont think so...i thought that too...the bell off a v8 100 series is thesame bolt pattern as the 1uzfe...the 1fzfe and 1uzfe are supposed to be from thesame family of motor, and the bells look close, but the starter on the v8 is in the valley and the 6 is on the pass side.
Soooo if you were wanting to run auto, the first gxv 100 had a a442 auto as in the 80...swap bell and your on a winner...same with 5 speed h151 in both 100v8 and 80 4.5.
Incidently Toyota quoted me $750 for the bell when i was thinking of the swap from a 3f.
