Trimming fuel tank lip

Post by Hybrid »

Im attempting to put my lux tank between the chassis rails. It only needs about 3mm trimmed off it lenghtways to get it in there. Just wondering if theres anything I should worry about. The lip is about an inch wide and the mounting holes are between the edge I have to trim and the tank itself so I dont think I'd have any problems with causing leaks. It's been sitting empty for the last 2 years anyway.

Can you bend the excess lip out of the way with a pair of multi grips
