I had The Holley Projection throttle body on my 40 series with a 253 V8.

I ran an old (ancient) MOTEC ECU - one of the first ones they made. It was fine for the job.

Sam at Overkill set it up for me :cool:

Tuff 45 ,
im actually starting the conversion from 350 carby motor to 350 efi multi point injection next week , have you already bought the throttle body injection setup if not you should multi point it i just bought most of the things i need yesterday and all up it cost me $400.00 and that got me
* engine wiring loom
* gm computer with v8 chip
* ignition module
* 8 fuel injectors
* v8 throttle body with throttle position sensor

thats the guts of it i still have to buy a oxygen sensor and map sensor thats another $50.00 , fuel rail which is $66.00 metre and injector bosses to weld into the runners of the victor jnr manifold $16.50 each and thats everything youll need .

So for $650.00 its fuel injected ,

if you carnt machine the holes in the manifold to suit the bosses to be welded in for the fuel injectors and then machine the fuel rail to suit there are places that do it but they charge $650.00 , but thats probably the hardest part of the whole conversion the rest is drill and tap some threads in the manifold for sensors plug in , power up and of you go .

Sorry i carnt provide much info on the tbi injection , but from what ive heard the wolf 3d is the user friendly computer to use.

Cheers.

i would look at using throttle body injection off a v8 falcon. should get out of it for $400 odd inc fuel pump and dizzy mod. i did the same with my six and ea gear see gq nissan bible under efi. but for $650 multi as above post would be sweet, but its a lot more work.

cheers bru

Heycharger, why didn't you start with the GM TPI anyway. No drilling for injectors, no adapting a throttle body, no manufacturing a fuel rail, no taping manifold for sensors etc. Also, longer inlet runners for more torque than a carb manifold converted. Just wondering. They do usualy cost about $800 anyway. But wouldn't you still have to but a decent manifold too?
