Tassie Mud Run-Sundy 6th April

Jonsey Thanks for keeping the info on the first run to yourself..
Lets just say that the first corner was a bit soft...and so was I...not enough loud pedal! :(
BUT as Jonsey would have seen, the bloke after me (33" Mudders and a 302 also got bogged in the same hole. In fact 2 tail shafts were lost in that hole by the end of the day.
just a few little facts before i tell the goss.
I had the smallest tyres (31"s where as everybody else had 33"/35"s)
I was the only person without mud terrains or tractor tyres (I was running goodyear all-terrains )
I had the smallest engine (2.4L, everybody had 4.0L Six's or 302-350's!!)
I was the youngest competitor 8)
Anyway, out of the five runs I got around four of them with the first run being the only 'DNF'. The last run being the quickest. Am still waiting on my times to see how i went against the others.
Disregarding the first run, I went pretty good (I will show Jonesy the other runs on videotape).
The old 2.4L Petrol (22R) was going around the course at a constant 4000-5000RPM, and boy was she squeeling.
Thanks for asking.
Jonsey, we will have to catch up and I will show u my other runs. I think my last run was quite close to the average times of the others (so I am getting there) (you would have been impressed with the last run)
Regards,
Nick
