Broken actuator on front diff.

Post by M1S3RY »

Was under my car trying to remove the mud that was conjeeled under there (2 hours later) and noticed a stick was jammed up in between the actuator for the front diff and all the hoses. After i carefully removed it i found that one of the vacuum lines had broken off (see pics). Now can i glue this back on or do i need to get a new one?

Real men drive in 4wd! :D

I wouldn't trust gluing the broken fitting back together, and I can't recognise precisely which part you've photographed. Can you pull out the actuator, then drill and insert a new fitting? Better still if you can disassemble and insert something from inside...

Good luck,

Scott

There wasn't much room with me laying under the car to take the pics, but according to my service manual it's called the "actuator for the free wheeling clutch".. if i'm going to pull it out i might as well get a new one.
