What offset?
What offset?
I was wondering what offset would be recommended for a set of 30" Motorway muddies on 15x7 sunnies? Would bog standard be good enough, or should I get something different?
Going onto SWB WT with 2'' spring lift only at this point.
I have had a search, the word "offset" appears in just about every other thread
Cheers,
Paul

90 WT Tin Top - Stock noisemaker and gears :(
I'd want more offset to stop springs rubbing so
-10mm or -13mm would be good....
you should be able to buy new rims for aroung $50-60 with these offsets.
-25mm is also good for extra stability but creates more load on wheelbearings and the angle of sweep on steering may cause other clearance issues. these are also harder to find.
-25 is also outside the 50mm offset restriction when both wheels are considered.

just buy early jeep cj5 or 7 off set i run them on mine 8in with 32x10.5 early jeep same stud pattern as zook nothing rubs and adds good width too
84 model hardtop, 86in wb, 36 iroks, locked front and rear, lux diffs, exo, power steer, fuel injected 4k corolla 1.3,auto transmission ,2in wheel spacers,3/4 elliptic rear
how much heavier are 8" rims?
[Edit: also, how heavy are mongrels?]
its not so much a problem offroad, but any more weight on the bitumen is a bit hard on std brakes..
my 31x10s on 15x7 rims feel almost twice as heavy as my 215/75 muddies on std 5.5" rims.
on the road, i know my cookies are heaps better braking-wise.

Just looked at some old photos of Ryans zook, i they look like -28. Slightly more than mine, which are -25. Slightly off topic, anyone in Newy had rims reversed, i been lookin at it. Promac apparently do it for $70 a rim, just wondering if anyone up this way has looked into it.

Ive seen plenty of the little purple junk before.
I got 15x8 too, so my offset will be different to 15x7 as well.
