It wasnt the steering box u broke tho was it??

I carry spare studs to fix where it attaches to the bottom of the swivel housing cause i break them a fair bit too :oops:

When u find out the price u can let me know :D

I've been waitin till I have enuf time to do a flip arm for mine...

Nah other end of the tie rod this time. Same thing however, caused by the rod angle.
OK I'll give him another call today and see what it's going to cost to get the bits sent down.

Have the same problem
Since wheeling the other day the steering wheel is a quater of a turn out while driving straigth ahead.

Lilblkduck. What part exactly have you broken in this pic.

Also anyone got the price on the hi steer setup?
Where are they made?

Also Why do you have to raise the panhard, or is this only required with a radius arm flip?

U have to raise the panhhard to stay in line with the drag link otherwise everytime u hit a bump the car will try to steer itself....

They call this bumpsteer.

The panhard is raised on one end & lowered on the other end
to even the load out. Its raised to keep in line with the steering
arm not the draglink. This is done for the hi steer only and is
independent of the radius arm flip, which is done to correct caster
angle. :cool: :P :D

A Z draglink would help alleviate any bind on the ball joints, knuckle steering arm and pitman arm/steering shaft at full flex of the diff.

might help in a very small way (reducing the lateral - sideways force-leverage from the bound up ball joint) but most of the problem comes from the torque -rotational force- exerted on the shaft when you turn the steering wheel or have load placed on it, like hitting an obstacle hard with the side of a front wheel.

this happens to me all the time, the first time I took it to a mechanic and he adjusted something under the front and aligned the steering wheel up properly.

Now it has happened again but I havent taken it back yet. I will ask next time exactly what he does. But he definanately does not take the steering wheel off and put it back on again.

I reckon he has just adjusted the steering arm in front of the diff....

This does not fix the problem.................

Well..... I finally rang J mac and ordered a high steer arm.. thats gunna cost around 700 :cry: ..

I also rang Sam at overkill and ordered my flip plates.. they are 170 ( i think)

Just thought some might be interested in the priices..

Finally started the flip arm .. all is goin well.. so far..

Just gotta do the panhard to do mounts now :D
