I`m stripping down an older WARN high mount winch and I`ve got down to were the barrel seperates from the gear box but there is a plate that won`t come out ,this is were i`m stuck cause the gears have to come out and I need to sepaerate the barrel.

lift and seperate
The plate has a keyway. You need to lift it up and about 8mm and then remove the countershaft. Note make sure you are ready to catch the ballbearing when you remove the brake housing from the countershaft.
