How do you hold up the outer guards?

lots of reasons. Looks, structural strength of the guards, ingress of mud, water, sticks etc, no where to mount things, the list goes on and on

lighter,
less stuffing about to attatch with the bodylift,
more engine bay room,
more airflow,
cause i can

something like that

and ive been tempted to make the whole front end lift off/tilt front for easier workings and id have to remove the inner guards to do that anyway

hmmm your reasons are :? mmmmm yes definately go for it
BUT if your interested .. ive spoken to a few guys with fibreglass flip front ends and they regretted it , didnt flip far enough .

as for the more air flow i agree but it isnt worth the damage done to the electrics IE starter motor .... more airflow out of the engine bay doesnt help unless you can get more air in the front .
i made up a couple of vent ducts on the front (will take pics and post later)
dont get me wrong ........ not knocking your ideas , just make sure you have access to belt rubber or simillar cause you will need it after your first winter / mud run

i like being different

my main reason is that ive gotta pull it all apart to straighten it and rebolt it together you see my truck was rolled at 80kmph thats why its now mine and all i did was bash the front end into shape to get it legal and now its really starting to fall apart so im thinkin that while its all off the truck it would be a good time to do some mods

owell ill see what happens as tomorrow progresses lol

cheers for your advice :)
