16" GU rims onto GQ ??
16" GU rims onto GQ ??
Gday guys and gals
Tried the search but couldn't find a straight answer.....
Need some 16" rims for new JT's I bought. Question is whether standard GU steel 16x8 rims will fit onto 93 GQ.
Also is 16 X 8 a good size for 34x11.5x16 JT's
Currently running 32x11.5x15's (which I'll keep for day-to-day stuff)
Thanks

A speed camera would have prevented that!
GU rims on GQ
I have these rims on my GQ and they are a good looking rim. Be careful when sourcing these as the early ones tended to crack and were replaced under warranty by the dealers.
Dealers were chucking them out or giving them away to guys who needed trailer rims ??

I was getting quotes of like $150-200 per rim from wreckers (due to the known cracking problem they're hard to get good ones). SO I bought new Sunraysias in 16x8 for about $90 each (still way more than 15x8"s).
Toyota 80/100 series might be easeir to find - dunno how they go for caliper clearance though toyota are usually alright for clearance - anyone got any answers on this?

Toyota rims are too small in the centre hole by 2mm, plus 100 series are 5 stud.

Thanks for the replys. Seem to be plenty of sets (5) asking around $500-. JT's should sit nicely on them ('specially with new 4" lift). I'll post some pics when it's all together.
