SOA'd, on 35" BFG's...... with excelent spring paks :finger:

Really the Question should be how much clearance from the chassis to the ground !!!!

I measured mine at 62cm from the gearbox mount area on the bottom edge of the chassis to the ground.

66cm with the 38.5" Swampers on

praise the lifted and pass me another height/dizzy pill

just as well I dont drink ....I'd hate to fall out of mine pi$$ed :drinking:

Ah - I will have to measure mine when the SOA is done - got whole truck with ORI SOA done to it with V8 conversion and few other choice bits for $1,000. took us 3 hours to strip it completely down to nothing (love it when no bolts are seized) Guy I got it off recons it had 2 inch lifted packs but he took out heaps of springs - just hope I don't end up like screwy with springs that look like and ocean view they got that many waves in em! ;) I have to fix up my front shackles too - idiot before me moved em back but did a really bad job of it!! Oh n he welded the bull bar to the chassis rails too - arse clown!

All these rigs I must admit look so damn nice - I recon a big congratulations to all those who posted pics etc - looks great peoples - give me in spiration galore....

Mine is about 38 inches with 31 10.5 tires. new springs but figure something, wrong with springs as other mks sit couple inches higher. Friends 91 gq ute measures about 43 inces with no modification, except 285 75 16s. Figure that gqs and mqs sit at same height. (Actually Mq height specs are slightly more, although any that are still standard would have sagged long ago and have new lift springs).
89 gq dx. bone stock --- for now.

How are you going for clearance there kc_ksom? Have you taken it out for a run yet? Just curious, I'm still toying with tyre choice.

yea Coxy

There pretty close, the tyre does hit the spring on absolute full lock, and there isnt that much clearance in the gaurds as yet as I still have to cut the gaurds.
But as a tyre the Baja claw radial is pretty awesome, I havnt noticed any difference in noise etc, I think its even lighter in the steering than with the 31's on it, thats no joke.

The tyres do vibrate at around 5km, wich feels pretty different, like the tail shaft is out of round, lol...

I just hope the coppers stay away.
