seperate the joins my 1 mm or a touch more to allow full penetration. test on a scrap first.

OR.......

Tack it up and then run the grinder through each join so that the join is in a "V" shape. this is called a "V buttweld" and allows for full penetration.

130 amp and 2.5 rods will be fine.

Hi all...If the wall thickness is only 2mm,I would say 130 amps is way to high for a 2.5 electrode.You need to be around a 100 amps or less,depending on the weld position.Dont bevel butt joints or have a gap,if your amps are set rite you will get good penetration,if you bevel butt or put gap you will blow a hole and mess the weld up.
