100 Series IFS Lift
The IFS setup on my dad's 100 series is not holding up with the weight of his bullbar and 9000i Warn Winch.
What can he do to lift it back up so it sits a little more above stock?
I dont have a clue about ifs setups...(only coil)... so I thought I would ask the people in the know
Any ideas will be most appreciated.

You don't need new torsion bars as the vehicle is not too old (unless it has been hit). Cutting your bumpstops (the ones that limit downward travel) will allow the same wheel travel after cranking the torsion bars for a lift. On a Poojero you can get about 2" of lift but the A arm is resting on the upper bumpstops, cutting them will give you back your downwards wheel travel.
If the bars are sagged you can re-index the spline to gain even greater lift not too many suspension places will do this let alone know about it they only want to sell you a knew set of torsion bars.
I did this on mine but after a heavy offroad hit the right side sagged dramatically so I replaced them with Pedders bars, 25% higher spring rating than stock.
The only issue for a 100 Series IFS is the constant 4x4 will accelerate the wear rates of CV's and boots if it is lifted too high above standard.

He is now enquiring about lifting the whole truck not just evening out the front. 2" all round and cranking the torsion bars to even up the front.
Do OME make a kit if so how many $$ and will he need new shocks (longer travels) after fitting the new springs? Does the kit have stronger torsion bars?

See I told you stoners that you cut the bump stops NOT to get wheel travel neccessarily but to allow you to wind the torsion bars up more!!!!
Just crank the poofters up as far as you can. I did it on my mates IFS hilux the other day and it is now up there and still rides awesome. Shit flex if any but.

but they are reliable with good economy!

IFS 100 Series don't have droop limiting bump stops anyway. The droop is limited by the shock absorbers. If he is going to lift the whole vehicle, then wait and do the front adjustment when the new rear coils go in. If not then measure with a tape the distance from the front guard lip to the bottom of the wheel rim and note measurments for both sides. Then wind each torsion bar adjuster clockwise until the desired height is acheived. Fitting a steel bar and winch ( xd9000 or similar ) to a 100 usually knocks about 10-20 mm off the front ride height. I would reccommend not lifting the front much above what it would have been before bar&winch fitment if you still have standard shocks. You can get a small amount of lift out of these IFS's before running into problems such as shock absorber excess top-out and lack of wheel align adjustment but to be honest they were never designed to be lifted and/or off-roaded.

As to how many winds, its differant with every car, prob start with 2 and see how much it goes, its quite easy to do, but use some rost off on the nuts first to lube them up a bit.
We install Old man emu kits at my work, they include 2 rear springs and 4 shocks, and the front is just wound up, they do have torsion bars but they are not nessacary unless they are pretty fucked (old)...
