I can not quite see where the hoses go, but that looks like a charcoal canister. The fuel tanks vents to the canister. It is set up so that once the engine is warm the engine sucks fumes from the canister to consume the fuel vapours.

Where do each of the three hoses go? Which one has the holes (no there should not be holes).

Normally (not sure of Rangies), the line with the thing that looks like a filter is from the tank. One line goes to the intake manifold and the other is just an air inlet. I ASSUME the one with holes is the air inlet, which I ASSUME runs to the air filter.

The holes look like the hose has been rubbing on something.
It would be wise to change it out.

They definately look like holes caused by constant rubbing against some thing. Or it's a flute LOL

ok I changed the hose today......and im here with a new question...is there supposed to be gasoline in that hose??? that hose becomes in two hoses and go to the intake manniful...besides the 2 carbs...is there supose to be gasoline on those hoses, or because the heatting trouble I had the carb over flotted with gas?

That hose shouldn't have holes. That is part of the anti pollution system that prevents fuel vapour (from tank) escaping to atmosphere.

Mate, don't quote me on this but aren't those hoses from the absorption canister connected to the fuel bowl breathers? If you have fuel in the hose you may have a stuck needle and seat or some other form of flooding problem.

Also if there is someone in Melb that wants to sell me one! :D
