ok heres the story....I noticed this couple of holes when I bought the car...nothing never happened till this week. the car over heatter a little bit, ok nothing bad happened, but I notticed there was gasoline comming out of those 2 holes...the question is....are those 2 holes supposed to be there or I have to change that hose?? what is that little black tank???
I can not quite see where the hoses go, but that looks like a charcoal canister. The fuel tanks vents to the canister. It is set up so that once the engine is warm the engine sucks fumes from the canister to consume the fuel vapours.
Where do each of the three hoses go? Which one has the holes (no there should not be holes).
Normally (not sure of Rangies), the line with the thing that looks like a filter is from the tank. One line goes to the intake manifold and the other is just an air inlet. I ASSUME the one with holes is the air inlet, which I ASSUME runs to the air filter.
ok I changed the hose today......and im here with a new question...is there supposed to be gasoline in that hose??? that hose becomes in two hoses and go to the intake manniful...besides the 2 carbs...is there supose to be gasoline on those hoses, or because the heatting trouble I had the carb over flotted with gas?

Mate, don't quote me on this but aren't those hoses from the absorption canister connected to the fuel bowl breathers? If you have fuel in the hose you may have a stuck needle and seat or some other form of flooding problem.
Sorry to hijack this thread but see the style air intake on the above picture! How much would one be second hand? cos i have twin air boxes and want to convert it to this style to plumb up my snork!
Also if there is someone in Melb that wants to sell me one!
