Selling Bundy - How much you guys reckon it's worth?

Post by Skip »

Time has come to depart with my Bundy to help fund a new house :(

So before I start selling it was just wondering what it would be worth. Just going through final stages of engineering now so it will be sold fully engineered with plate.

Specs:

Car: Toyota LJ71G Landcruiser (Japanese Import) ODO: 105,000 km

Engine: Toyota 1JZGTE 2.5L twin turbo 6 (originally 2LT) running 14psi boost, twin stainless steel dump pipes, large front mount intercooler (500x400 core), Haltech E6X engine management and boost control, aluminium radiator, 3.5" exhaust, Bosch 044 fuel pump on 8L surge tank

Output: 196 rwkW equates to about 300 fwkW

Gearbox: R151f 5 speed with billet steel flywheel and ceramic semi puck clutch with sprung centre, Dellow bellhousing

Diffs: Stock G series 4.875:1 open centre 4 pinion

Other mods: 31x10.5x15" Toyo tires, autometer oil press water temp boost gauges and tacho, Blaupunkt deck 6x9's rear 4" front, Hayman Reece towbar (2.5t)

Thats about it, here are the pics:

Cheers

I would say $10,000

Least it will start the debate of which you will get the answer you require.

I think tonka is on the money so to speak. a decent stocker bundy with no mods is only worth about 6 - 8k, and engine swaps don't necessarily add a lot of value, however if it's done right and looks good then it's worth something.

looks like a bit of a sleeper, it will appeal to someone.

I try and work out a price by what I would pay for my vehicle if I was looking for one just like. Not what I want to get for it.

Looking at your truck and the mods I would (If i wanted a mwb cruiser) pay $10,000 for a clean unit like that. You may get more you may get less, but thats just my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback fellas.

I think dumbdunce is right, it will need to appeal to someone who wants a sleeper and a bit of light wheeling, much the same as what I was doing with it. It also makes quite a mean tow car power wise but can be a little all over the road being a SWB. If anyone bought it to do some serious suspension work they would probably need to detune it back to 7psi boost or so cause it's a bit of an animal with 198rwkW.

I was thinking id be absolutely stoked if I got around 12k for it, so I might start around that region and see if I can get any bites.

Cheers
