Post by -Mick- »

Ok the blower is going on as soon as I get the bits together JOY :D

Makes me think about driving an 84 with no booster and 31's though :? How hard is it to plumb a booster into the works now :?: Is it literally a matter of sourcing a good sierra one cutting a hole and plumbing it :?:

I've got wt diffs with larger discs etc and fresh rear brakes so the booster should make it pretty comfortable :)

you need to unpick/cut out the panel that holds the master cylinder into the firewall, and weld in a 1.3 one....as the steering column and master position is different.
It has been done in jtrafs brothers deisel zook.

I can remember a HR Holden that we use to have, had a remote booster. May be worth looking into?

We just welded in a little plate so we could hole saw the hole out to suit the 1.3 booster and the rest just bolted together.

you will need the plate from a 1.3lt zook as well as the brake and clutch pedal assembly cause they are different from 1.0lt gear.

Do it right or don't do it at all cause if you stuff up no more brakes!!!!

If in doubt pay someone to do it for you....

I am running a remote booster mounted on the opposite side of the firewall on my 1 litre. Pretty sure its from an old ford. Bought it reconditioned from a brake specialist.
