I have seen in the US that shops like Allpro offroad supply a Shackle "jig" with their SAS kits so you just slip the steel template over the chasi and it makes getting the shackle hole possition fool proof.
You often see on www.pirate4x4.com guys lending the jigs around to people doing SAS's.
Does anyone have these in Aus? I know making shackle holes in the chasi isnt rocket science and I probably dont need them but it would just make things easier. Two whoping big holes in the chasi arnt an easy thing to fix if I fark it up Paul.

Maybe an inch longer than stock.
Then just put the mount under neath with standard rear shackles. Thats what beebee has got and I will be doing that if I don't go banana shackles when I put the rears up front.

but wont this push the back of the diff down and ruin the pinion angle if you dont run a dropped front hanger

Yes it will throw everything out. A lot also depends on your centre pin location on your springs as well as the shape of the spring. I found that mine sat well with 2" extended hangers and 2" extended shackles. However, as we are not allowed longer shackles in Qld, I went with the std shackle slung under the chassis.
